EATING OLD TOOTSIE ROLLS!

So it was my first week of leadership (it was very awkward hahahahah >-----<). So this week we basically just prepared for schedule pick-up. We set up the cafe and classroom and found out how to do our jobs. I got started on my blogger and  finished up my bio cube. We also shared our bio cubes during Wednesday. We found tootsie rolls on Thursday xD. During schedule pick-up my job was registrar #2 (eventually I got switched to passing out schedules because there weren't enough people). I got closer to others during Friday (lol wassuuup Maliah and Asia XDD).

The highlight of my week was during schedule pick-up. While working, I got comfortable with a lot of people and I started talking (a lot). I was starting to come out of my shell and it felt good finally communicating with my fellow leadership people. We also got to eat McDonalds lol. I bonded with the others too.

The lesson I learned this week is that you have to get work done faster. When we were passing out schedules, the line I got really long because we were too slow. Sometimes we couldn't hear the people when they talked and we passed out the wrong schedules. But we got the hang of it and started working faster and the long eventually vanished lol.

During Friday.

Bio Cube

Me presenting my Bio Cube to the class.

So we had to do this assignment called 'Bio Cube'. The cube had six sides and each side of the cube had a topic about ourselves. The topics were background (basic facts about yourself), significance (people or things important to you), personality (your characteristics), obstacle (things keeping you from succeeding), quotation (your favorite quote and explain it) and lastly a self-portrait. We also shared the cubes to the class and explained the text written on it.

Starting on my bio cube.

The highlight of this assignment for me was writing about my significance. It was a highlight for me because it made me think about my family and the people and things I mostly cared about. Sometimes I end up taking things for granted and it was nice to be reminded that those things were very, very, very, very important. The lowlight for this assignment was when people presented to the class. I was really nervous so I seemed very fidgety.

Through this project, I was able to learn things about me that I didn't even know. I also learned a lot of stuff from the others in Leadership. It was a great way of introducing myself to the others because so far I only kept things to myself and I rarely talked.

GLO #1 Self-Directed Learner
I was a self-directed learner because I was able to complete my cube on time (even though I came later than the others). Also because I was able to do the assignment on my own.

GLO #2 Community Contributor
I was a community contributor because I asked questions about the assignment when I needed help on my bio cube.

GLO #3 Complex Thinker
I met this GLO because I used the proper tools to make my cube pretty. Also when I was printing the text my printer broke -____- but I found a way to print the text for my cube.

GLO #4 Quality Producer
On this assignment I was a quality producer because I used colorful paper to wrap the box so it didn't look plain. Also the text were typed neatly so people were able to read it. The final product of my cube looked attractive and presentable.

GLO #5 Effective Communicator
I met this GLO because when I presented I was able to introduced myself, talk about my cube and ask if people had any questions.

GLO #6 Effective and ethical User of Technology
I was an effective and ethical user of technology on this project because I was able to use my computer to type out the text and I also used the printer to print out the text and my picture.
